Introduction to our Ministry
Rev. Brick Cliff is the president and founder of W.I.N. ministries. After twelve years of church planting and leadership training in Africa, Pastor Cliff and his family had to leave the Congo because of a civil war. After six months of waiting for the war to end, the Cliff’s moved to the Texas/Mexico border to work temporarily with a ministry training school in Mexico. While directing the school, Pastor Cliff was introduced to a ministry curriculum on video, known as the “International School of Ministry” (ISOM).
This curriculum, produced by “Good Shepherd Ministries” in California, is a complete Bible/Ministry school on DVD. The teachers include prominent leaders and speakers like Dr. Jack Hayford, Joyce Meyer, Ray Comfort, T.L. Osborne, and Reinhard Bohnke. Incredibly, the school has been translated into over 65 major languages.
Rev. Cliff immediately became involved with ISOM and in a short time had started schools all over Mexico and in the Congo. In 2005 Pastor Cliff founded WIN Ministries for the purpose of starting schools in major languages all around the world. As of 2009 WIN has sent over 1,000 ministry schools to countries around the world, including Mexico, Haiti, Cuba, China, Nigeria, and more. We are partnering with missionaries and nationals in over 20 countries, with well over 10,000 students currently attending our 900 schools!
Testimonies of changed lives have come in from around the world. In fact, in the first four years of WIN’s involvement with ISOM, students and graduates of the schools started over 300 new churches. Hundreds of testimonies have been received from students, telling about changed lives, miracles, newly invigorated churches, and church growth.
At the same time that WIN is starting schools around the world, it has now become involved in filming seminars and school curriculum to augment the ISOM curriculum. And, in some languages, WIN is working towards producing its’ own complete bible/ministry school curriculum, called the Nation-2-Nation curriculum.
The History of World Impact Now Ministries
In 2005 Rev. S. Brick Cliff became the founder and president of WIN Ministries (World Impact Now). This non-profit Christian organization is working in twenty countries and fourteen different languages to provide leadership training to pastors and Christian workers. WIN currently has over 900 Bible schools in operation and is also involved in humanitarian work—helping with orphanages, rescue missions, and feeding programs. Brick continues to travel regularly to different countries to teach in seminars and conferences and to establish and oversee ISOM (International School of Ministry) regional centers.
Rev. S. Brick Cliff and his wife Beth served as missionaries in Tanzania and the Congo for twelve years. During their time in Africa, the Cliffs worked with thousands of pastors. They were moved by the tremendous need for simple Biblical training and found that about 80% of pastors and leaders had never had a chance to attend Bible school. Without this training it was difficult for pastors to care for their congregations, and it was common to find Christians mixing their old religions with Christianity. And this need was not isolated to Africa. When the Cliffs relocated to south Texas to direct a ministry school in Mexico, and as Rev. S. Brick Cliff began traveling around Latin America, and later India, he found this same need for teaching to be worldwide.
Then the Cliffs found a revolutionary new training tool, created for pastors around the world. This tool, the International School of Ministry (ISOM), is a Bible/Ministry school on DVD which is available in numerous languages. The teachers include: Dr. Jack Hayford, Dr. Joyce Meyer, Dr. Reinhard Bonnke, Dr. Ray Comfort, Dr. T.L. Osborne, Dr. Ed Cole, and over twenty other prominent and respected Bible teachers. All of the classes were recorded in English with a live Spanish interpreter, whose translation can be dubbed over with any other language. So far, over 65 languages have been made available.
The Cliffs introduced the ISOM material to their contacts in Mexico and the Congo, and within a short time, they had started over 100 schools. Over the next five years the number of schools increased to 900 in twenty countries. The Cliffs also established regional centers in many countries to facilitate the distribution of Bible school materials.
As the Cliffs traveled setting up centers, they became increasingly aware of two other significant needs. The first was for ministry training that was not only in the language of the people but also geared to the needs of their culture. The second was for teaching in practical areas of life—nutrition, hygiene, simple medical treatments for the family, farming techniques, etc. In order to meet these needs, the Cliffs expanded their vision to include the production of their own video teaching materials.
In 2006 W.I.N. Ministries opened its first film studio in Mexico and began filming Latin American speakers in Spanish. In 2007 a studio was opened in the United States, and in 2008 a new studio was opened in India. To date over 200 sessions have been filmed in various languages. In the future the Cliffs plan to open studios in Egypt, Tanzania, and China.
WIN’s vision is to turn ordinary churches into evangelistic training centers and also into community centers which meet the needs of local residents while drawing the people to faith in Jesus Christ.
