US MINISTRIES

Volunteer Opportunities

How can I help “disciple the nations to reach the world”? All believers are involved in The Great Commission. Two huge factors in empowering missionaries on the field are committed prayer and financial support, but those aren’t the only things we need.

If you have any of the following skills, W.I.N. (World Impact Now) wants to hear from you!

Service Positions:
  • Film production staff: a person interested in videography who we can teach how to do filming in our studio. They would help to film, edit, and produce sessions of Christian teaching.
  • Office worker: a person who enjoys office work-emailing, office organization, and website updates, general office work, phoning, etc.
  • Video producer: a person who has skills in video editing who can help put together ministry presentations.
Length of volunteer service: Whatever amount of time you are available: preferably at least 4-6 weeks.

You have skills and abilities that can bless and support W.I.N. from your own home:
  • PRAY for believers with excitement and passion for Jesus to join us.
  • Selling curios and items from Mexico, India and Africa to raise funds for W.I.N.
  • DVD presentations in small groups to raise funds for W.I.N.

How to Start an ISOM School in a church in the U.S.

In the United States, the International School of Ministry (ISOM) supplies curriculum materials for churches and other ministries to run their own training programs. When ISOM materials are utilized in a training capacity according to a prescribed manner, then the course material can be submitted to certain recognized schools and universities which may accept the training for credit.

Starting a School in the United States Using I.S.O.M. Materials
There are two ways for a church in the U.S. to start a school:

Part 1
You can purchase a school kit called a "Missions Mobilizer" packet (or M2) kit for $950.  This includes all of the dvds for all of the trimesters and a dvd player, and the facilitator's/school director's guide.  After that you can have as few or as many students as you want, and for each one you'll pay a student fee of $55 for each of the five trimesters (the fees are paid one trimester at a time).  The students will receive notebooks for each trimester.  (One advantage of this is that you will have all of the dvds and can use them in your church for seminars or Sunday schools classes, as long as you don't pass out the notes.  The notes are only supposed to be used for the Bible school).

If you meet one day a week for two to three hours, you can finish the program in a year and a half (there is even time to take a month or two off for Christmas and Spring Break).  When the students finish, if they are high school graduates, they can pay a fee of $240 and apply for and receive an "Associates Degree in Biblical Studies" from Vision International University in California (web site: vision.edu).  If they don't want to apply for the degree, or they haven't graduated from high school, your church can issue a "Diploma in Biblical Studies.” ISOM can help you with a suggested example.

Part 2
The second way to start a school is to have a minimum of 10 students.  They will each pay $65 per trimester.  When you send in the fees you will receive the dvds and students notebooks for trimester one.  (This will not include a dvd player).  You will then receive dvds and notebooks one trimester at a time.  If you get 20 students or more the cost drops to $60 per student.  All the rest of the information is the same, as far as degrees and diplomas go.

There are three common possibilities in terms of languages in the United States and Canada.  First, you can order English. English is called the I.S.O.M. Express. It was originally in English/Spanish, but has had the Spanish edited out of it.   You can also order English/Spanish or English/French.  There are many other languages available as well. You can receive student notes in English, or in any of the other languages we offer. If you plan to have students working in two languages, we can send student notebooks in each of those languages. (For example, you could order 10 notebooks in English and 5 in Spanish).

If you decide to start an I.S.O.M. school, and learned about it on the W.I.N. website, please use the form we provide to apply for your materials. This will help our international ministry, as 10% of the fees will be provided to us by I.S.O.M. to use in missionary outreach.

Starting an ISOM school in a Prison or Rehabilitation Center

WIN Ministries has a burden for the families and individuals in the U.S. whose lives have been hurt or destroyed as a result of drug and alcohol abuse. We are regularly making the ISOM curriculum available to rehabilitation centers and prisoners, either for free or for a token cost. ISOM provides men and women trapped in addictions life-changing teaching. Rev. Tom Wellington, director of Life Challenge of Flint, Michigan shares, “I have really enjoyed being able to offer such a well rounded curriculum for our students and staff. We are looking forward to using it for many years to come…..” If you would like information on starting a school in a prison or rehabilitation center, please contact our office.
